Texas Slabs was founded by Scott McGinty with his family's beef jerky recipe. He started making it in small batches and selling it at farmer's markets and tradeshows. The beef jerky quickly gathered fans, and he opened the store in Mansfield, TX.
Since opening 14 years ago, he added local products and a specialty butcher section that includes cutting steaks by hand. After his passing in early 2018, his children and dedicated employees have continued his legacy. Including maintaining the high-standards and personalized customer service Scott started.
We continue to make the jerky by-hand in small batches in our store, and bring in the best local meat and products, and serve our loyal customers.
